Understanding Teflon Bolt

Teflon bolts are industrial fasteners made by spraying a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) coating on the surface of high-strength steel. They are mainly used in corrosive environments.
Base material composition: Utilize 10.9 grade carbon steel or 35CrMo alloy steel, with tensile strength of ≥ 1000 MPa. The thickness of the surface Teflon coating is usually 25-50 μm.
Temperature resistance range: Applicable in an environment ranging from -190℃ to 260℃. Can withstand a short-term temperature of 300℃. Suitable for chemical reaction vessels, offshore platforms, and other scenarios.
Torque Control: The recommended tightening torque is 70% - 80% of that for ordinary bolts. To avoid coating peeling and damage, the part needs to be returned to the factory for re-coating.
