High-strength threaded fastener product process The production process of high-strength threaded fasteners is as follows: raw material modification → cold heading forming → thread processing (thread rolling or thread spinning) → heat treatment → surface treatment → sorting and packaging. For grades above 10.9, the hot rolling process after heat treatment is generally adopted. The materials for automotive fasteners, such as high-strength bolts, commonly use steel grades including 35 steel, 45 steel, and ML35 steel for 8.8 grade bolts; 35CrMo for 10.9 grade bolts. 40Cr; The 12.9-grade bolts are made of 35CrMo, 42CrMo and SCM435.
