The most crucial aspect of the development and design of fasteners is quality control. From raw material entry to finished product shipment, there are several checkpoints, and each of these checkpoints has different inspection methods. Firstly, for raw material entry, there are various inspections such as appearance, size, elements, performance, and detection of harmful substances, etc.; in the process, more inspections include appearance, size, impact tests, forging lines; for heat treatment, there are more inspections such as appearance, hardness, torque, tensile force, metallography, etc.; for surface treatment, there are some hydrogen embrittlement tests, coatings, salt spray tests, including a harmful substance detection at the time of shipment. In terms of size and appearance inspections, common tools include two-dimensional measurement instruments, coordinate measuring machines, image sorting machines (this is a fully automatic machine); in terms of mechanical and chemical inspections, there are mainly hardness machines (Rockwell and Vickers), tensile machines, metallographic microscopes; in terms of material inspections, there is a spectrometer and a salt spray tester.
