High-strength fasteners connecting the vehicle to the wheels
The hub bolt is a core component that connects the vehicle's wheel to the hub unit bearing, responsible for transmitting the vehicle's weight and torque loads. Its structure is divided into two types: single-ended bolts (with knurled splined sections and threaded sections) and double-ended bolts, with the former widely used in small passenger cars and the latter suitable for small and medium-sized trucks. Bolt strength grades are categorized into 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9 levels, corresponding to the load requirements of microcars, mainstream passenger cars, and heavy-duty trucks. The materials include cast iron, aluminum alloy forging, and titanium alloy, among others, with aluminum alloy offering both lightweight and high-strength characteristics. During installation, an evenly tightened diagonal tightening process is required, with a torque setting range of (120±10) N·m. Some models employ left-hand thread designs to enhance anti-loosening performance.
