The equipment bolts

The equipment failures of the bolts are mainly due to the loosening and delayed fracture of the bolts. The non-rotational relaxation caused by the elastic attenuation of the bolt contact surface is one form of bolt loosening, but the main form of relaxation is still the rotational relaxation caused by insufficient torque. 

To prevent loosening during rotation, the method adopted is to use ultra-high-strength bolts and apply greater torsional force for tightening. For this purpose, ultra-high-strength bolts with strength exceeding the JIS standard level have been developed. Generally speaking, the higher the strength of the bolt, the greater the risk of delayed fracture. 

The tightening method for the 12.9-grade crawler bolts is the plastic rotation tightening method. First, they are tightened with a pre-torque, and then the nut is further tightened by rotating it at the predetermined angle. To connect a single crawler, 4 bolts are required, and they are tightened simultaneously using a fully automatic nut tightening device.
