Galvanized bolts

2025-12-08

Galvanized bolts are mainly used in outdoor environments and industrial scenarios that require high corrosion resistance. The zinc coating can effectively resist the erosion of corrosive media such as moisture, acids, and alkalis. Typical applications include power facilities, transportation infrastructure, building structures, and other fields.

The core uses and industry applications of galvanized bolts

High-intensity anti-corrosion demand scenarios.

Power infrastructure: Fasteners used as components of power transmission towers, signal towers, and substations, which endure long-term exposure to outdoor climates.

Traffic facilities: Used for highway guardrails, bridge steel components, railway track fixation, etc., maintaining structural stability in sun and rain exposure.

The industrial and construction sectors.

Steel structure buildings: Metal frameworks connecting large-scale structures such as factories and stadiums, ensuring seismic and wind resistance performance.

The equipment foundation is fixed: The anchor bolts are treated with hot-dip galvanizing, which can withstand mechanical vibrations in corrosive environments such as chemical and marine industries for a long time.

New Energy and Special Engineering

Photovoltaic power generation system: 6.8 grade and 8.8 grade galvanized bolts are used for the installation of solar support frames, suitable for extreme climates such as deserts and coastal areas.

In water conservancy projects, the connecting parts of sluices and water transmission pipes use galvanized bolts to prevent connection failure caused by water quality corrosion.

Technical Characteristics and Key Points for Selection

Coating process selection: Hot-dip galvanized bolts (with a coating thickness of 30-60 μm) are suitable for long-term outdoor use, while cold galvanized bolts (with a coating thickness of 5-30 μm) are mostly used indoors or for short-term rust prevention needs.

Material grade matching: Key projects often select high-strength bolts of grade 8.8 or above, combined with galvanization treatment to ensure dual protection of mechanical performance and corrosion resistance.
